One of our favorites to eat and one of my favorites to make is Shepherd's Pie. It's healthy, wholesome, and delicious!

Shepherd's Pie

INGREDIENTS:

- 1 pkg Ground Turkey

- 5-6 Potatoes, washed

- 2 pkgs frozen Green Beans

- 1 cup Milk

- 6 Tbls. Flour (I use whole Wheat)

- 1 small pkg of Mushrooms

- 1 stick Butter

- Shredded Cheddar Cheese ~ About 2-3 cups

- Extra Butter (about 1/2 a stick)

- Extra Milk (about 1 1/2 cups)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Thaw your ground turkey, and then brown it in a skillet. Set aside.

2. You can either peal your potatoes, or not. It's up to you. Wash your potatoes, and cut into 4ths or 8ths. Put them into a pot with enough water to cover them. Turn on medium-high heat & cover.

3. Put your green beans in a pot on high with about an inch of water. 4. While your green beans start to cook, blend your mushrooms with enough water to cover half of the mushrooms. Blend until liquidated. Melt your butter in a small pot. Make sure it doesn't burn. Add your flour and stir. Then add your mushroom "soup". Stir until well blended. Add milk.

5. When your beans are almost done, take off heat, and strain. Add mushroom soup. Stir.

6. Spread your ground turkey in the bottom of your 9x13 or pan of your choice (we have to use a 10x15). Pour your green bean mixture over your ground turkey. Spread evenly.

7. Check on your potatoes. If they're soft and easy to jab with a fork, they're ready. Strain them & bend with a hand-mixer or stand-mixer. Add the extra butter & extra milk. Blend until smooth.

8. Pour your potatoes over the grean beans. Smooth evenly.

9. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees farenhight. Spread the cheddar cheese over your shepherd's pie evenly.

10. Bake for 30 minutes. Let cool about 5 miuntes before serving. Enjoy!!!
